Alexis did an interview on the day of “Tavis Smiley” with E!Online, as she is wearing the same outfit.

Alexis and Zach also did a small interview with OK Magazine’s Valerie Nome, after they donated the graduation gown from “Post Grad” to Planet Hollywood.

Tucked away upstairs as world famous chicken crunch and beverages go round, Alexis settles into the booth side of the table along with her good friend Zach.

“I see you went to a Lutheran school,” I begin, myself a pre-K through eighth grad of Redeemer Lutheran School. Bond alert!
“I went to a Baptist school, a Lutheran school, a Catholic school and we lived in a Jewish neighborhood,” she remembers.

In the movie, Alexis plays a college grad who expects everything to be rosy now that she has the coveted degree. Like many grads – every grad? – she soon learns she can’t control her own fate. How does Alexis react to the unexpected?
“I accept it, and move on,” she tells me.
There’s also a love interest in her best friend. Can men and women really be just friends?
The carefully measured actress says yes.
“There may not necessarily be an attraction. There’s gotta be that spark. It’s not always there.”

Alexis had a really big day yesterday, she went to four events in one day! She wore a Kimberly Ovitz dress and shoes from H&M.
Alexis and co-star Zach Gilford rang the NASDAQ Stock Market Opening Bell in NYC. Along with Zach, Alexis also visited Fuse’s “The Pop Show” as well as visting Planet Hollywood and donating the graduation gown and hat worn in “Post Grad”.
Alexis was on MTV’s “It’s On with Alexa Chung” as well, but there aren’t many photos. I have screencapped the talk/appearance and added it to the gallery. Alexis is so cute, she translates a bunch of Spanish videos, one of which is My Little Pony. Alexa also gave her a little gift which was very sweet.

Days until “Post Grad”: tomorrow!!!!!

Alexis had a talk with Parade.com’s Jeanne Wolf. Read the interview below..

Trying to get work.
“Auditioning for parts as an actress was kind of like a job interview for me. I sort of discovered acting in college at NYU. I’ll never forget my audition for Gilmore Girls. I did it only for the experience, never expecting that I’d get the part of Rory, which changed my life and career.”

Facing unemployment.
“I haven’t gone through anything extreme, but when Gilmore Girls ended, I didn’t go on to another TV series. You don’t always go from one thing to the next in this business. Sometimes you have several months in-between, and you don’t know what your next job will be. So I can relate a little bit to that sense of wanting to get to work.”

The good part of down time.
“Doing a TV show was like running a marathon. It would have helped if I was in great shape, watched what I ate, got enough sleep and exercised. Unfortunately, I skipped all that and often I was a very tired actress.”

Understanding the value of work for women.
“I kind of tried to think about it from a post-feminism perspective because, historically, there was such a struggle to get women to a point where they could choose between a job and family life, and now we have that option. But what’s interesting is how important this job is to my character. She spends the entire movie working toward it, she’s like totally obsessed, and then she gets it. And she finds that it’s not everything she expected. To me, that’s a reminder that your work isn’t everything.”

She’ll never be a workaholic.
“There are people, like my character in Post Grad, who are fixated on a career and don’t entertain any other ideas whatsoever. It takes a strong personality to have that focus. It’s not like mine at all. I’m very open to different things and don’t want to limit myself. I just really want to see what comes my way.”

Guys as just pals.
“At different points in my life I think I have had guy best friends, but I think my best friends are typically other girls. I don’t know. It gets complicated with guys, especially when you’re younger. I think it’s easier for that line between best friend and boyfriend to get complicated.”

As for living at home like her character.
“I know that if I had to do it, I’d probably last for about a week. It’s a hard thing to do. It’s almost against nature. I know a lot of people go back and live with their families, especially in other countries. I think in the States there’s so much emphasis on the self and succeeding individually that you want to be on your own. But in many places, like Latin America and Europe, people live with their families for longer than we do. Here there’s definitely, I think, a stigma about it. But I like the message that life isn’t all about what you do; it has a lot to do with who you surround yourself with and go home to and that becomes your life.”

Days left until “Post Grad”: six days!
I found a bunch of interviews, the first three being from the “Post Grad” Press Day on July 20th. The bottom two were only just uploaded a couple of days ago, and the first was uploaded today!

Alexis also did a Q&A with the San Fancisco Chronicle. Read the rest after the jump.

Q: Are you getting sent Rory roles over and over?
A: I do get scripts for sort of sweet characters for family films. I think it just takes time. I have to grow out of my image, and it has to do with the way I look, too, which I can’t do anything about (laughs).

Q: Why did you choose “Post Grad”?
A: I knew the writer through a friend for a few years. I thought it was a really relatable story; she’s my age. It’s her experience of graduating from college and not being able to get the job she wanted. This was years ago, before everything that’s going on now. I’d heard similar stories from friends and people from my class who’d graduated. I found it to be really true to people my age.

Sign up 4 free “Post Grad” screenings: still many available!

I have added the whole set and some HQs from the “Post Grad” screening, take a look here and as well as a HQ “Post Grad” still here.
Alexis and “Post Grad” co-star, Zach Gilford recently had an interview with the Metro.

Before Zach Gilford landed the role of the best friend and eventual love interest to Alexis Bledel in Post Grad, he had to prove to the filmmakers that he and his prospective leading lady worked well together on screen.

“I had to go in with Alexis for a ‘chemistry read,’” Gilford remembers. “And I thought she hated me.”
Bledel, small and soft-spoken in person with piercing blue eyes, has to stop the interview right there. She turns to to Gilford. “Why did you think that?” she asks, sounding concerned.
“Because you’re shy,” he says.
Bledel had to shed that shyness for Post Grad, in which she stars as recent college grad Ryden Malby, whose plans are derailed when she doesn’t land her dream job.

Moving back in with her parents, Ryden suffers through a host of indignities in interviews and odd jobs, all the while ignoring the gorgeous guy right in front of her.
“She’s very distracted,” Bledel explains. “I would say damagingly so.”

There is a small article and interview with Alexis at canada.com. Alexis talks about “Post Grad” and about her future career path with TV and movies. Read the rest after the excerpt.

Post Grad might be appropriate in more ways than one for Alexis Bledel. Sure, it’s the name of Bledel’s latest film, but the title could also refer to the early stages of her Gilmore Girls career aftermath.
Either way, the 27-year-old says, “So far, so good.”

Comedy is mostly the goal, but Bledel says the movie does have something to say about choices and chances for young females in the modern world.
“I think the film’s suggesting that you can’t plan everything,” reports Bledel who plays the typical undecided 20-something character. “You have to be open to what life throws your way, and adapt to things as you go.”
Fans may try to get familiar with Bledel’s Post Grad persona, but they might find it difficult to completely forget about her Rory Gilmore persona.
That may have more to say about the popularity of the Gilmore Girls series, which ran from 2000 to 2007, than the actress’s range. Indeed, the show seems even more popular in reruns over the last two years.

No matter, Bledel is making a casual effort to distance herself from the quick-witted, sometimes rebellious teen from the show.
In fact, she was doing that while the series was on the air. In 2005, she co-starred in the film version of the popular teen novel The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, portraying the artistic Lena who becomes involved with a Greek college student. That same year she played Becky the prostitute in Robert Rodriguez’s stylized Sin City and repeated her Lena part in the Sisterhood sequel last year.
While her Post Grad character isn’t a major leap, she’s satisfied that it’s a move forward. Besides, she doesn’t get too fixated with things like her career arc.
Raised in Houston by her Mexican mother, Nanette, and Danish-Argentinian father, Martin, her first language was Spanish until she started school at five.

As luck would have it, she was 16 when she was discovered at a suburban mall in her hometown and soon found herself in New York modelling while attending NYU.
“I kind of discovered acting in college at NYU,” she recalls. “I started auditioning because I had a modelling agent and in their same office is where I met my manager. So I kind of fell into it.”
